Sibley Memorial Hospital, a member of Johns Hopkins Medicine, has a distinguished history of serving the community since its founding in 1890. As a not-for-profit and full-service community hospital, Sibley offers medical, surgical, intensive care, obstetric, oncology, orthopedic and skilled nursing inpatient services, as well as a 24-hour Emergency Department. Sibley's campus is also home to Grand Oaks, an assisted living residence; a medical building with physician offices and ambulatory surgery and imaging centers.

Job Summary: As a Pharmacy Technician III, performs both baseline duties (including those of a Pharmacy Technician II) as well as specialized technician duties as determined by departmental leadership. Able to train new pharmacy technicians. Competent to staff in at least two specialized areas/locations as determined by departmental leadership.
Qualifications:
-High school diploma, certificate, or equivalent combination of work experience and education.
-Active National Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB) required.
-Current registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the District of Columbia Board of Pharmacy is required.
-Minimum of 2 years of pharmacy technician experience in applicable specialized institutional pharmacy areas areas as determined by departmental leadership.
-Sterile Compounding experience is also required.
Shift: Full-Time, Evening Shift 1:30 PM - 10:00 PM. Limited holiday and weekend work is also required. Training would occur on the day shift (first 6 weeks or so) before applicant can be transferred to the permanent evening shift.
Salary Range: Minimum 23.84 per hour - Maximum 39.32 per hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
