Pharmacy Technician (Per Diem)

Reporting to the Pharmacy Services Manager and under the direct supervision of the registered pharmacists, assists in the preparation and filling of medication orders, perform critical pharmacy calculations, compound non-sterile products using proper technique, utilize various software programs and technical equipment for the various functions listed above. Perform medication distribution to patient areas, restock and reorder necessary pharmacy inventory, and satisfactorily pass required departmental, hospital and government competency examinations.

Qualifications
  • Experience:
  • 1+ years of previous hospital pharmacy technician experience, preferred but not required.
  • Education & Training:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • License, Certification & Registration:
  • CPhT or student in an accredited pharmacy program required.
  • Other Requirements:
  • Strong knowledge of metric system conversions and calculation of ratio and proportions. Passing score of 85% on calculation exam, aseptic preparation exam and practicum.

    Conditions of Employment

    Covid Vaccination is a requirement for employment at Jefferson for employees working at Jefferson's clinical entities or at the University.
