Schedule: Monday thru Friday 9am to 5:30pm and rotating Saturdays

Job Summary:

Provides technical and clerical assistance to the pharmacist in the processing of medication orders and the monitoring of drug therapy. May procure, measure, compound, count, and deliver medications under the supervision of a pharmacist. The Pharmacy Technician- Home Delivery is responsible for assisting the home delivery pharmacists in the daily activities to drive and increase home delivery patient management and prescription capture for the retail pharmacies by communicating patients. Functions within the guidelines of the Wisconsin Statutes and Administrative Code - Pharmacy Examining Board - Pharmacy Practice Sections. Other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION:

A minimum of 2 years of experience as a pharmacy technician is preferred.
EDUCATION DESCRIPTION:

High School diploma or equivalent is required. Graduate of an accredited pharmacy technician training program is preferred.
SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:

Exceptional customer service skills. Proven attention to detail. Experience with 3rd party insurance. Proven ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group. Outstanding organizational and follow-up skills. Promotion skills - ability to sell a program. Experience with various computer systems and programs.
LICENSURE DESCRIPTION:

Application for Wisconsin registration as a Pharmacy Technician is required by hire date and must be obtained within 12 months of hire. Staff hired into this role prior to 3/31/23 must have applied for Wisconsin registration by 3/31/23 and have until 3/31/24 to obtain registration. Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) through passing the Pharmacy Technician Certification Boards exam (PTCE) or the National Healthcareer Associations exam (ExCPT) is required within 6 months of hire.
