PhD Residency - AI + Cybersecurity, Early Stage Project

About the role:

Want to work on cutting edge AI? Have a passion for industrial cybersecurity? Then come join us as we develop technology strategies and early prototypes for early stage projects at X.

You'll be working with a high level of autonomy to build and refine tech prototypes and market analyses at the intersection of advanced AI and industrial cybersecurity. You'll use your knowledge of machine learning and cybersecurity to suggest, derisk and build innovative technology approaches. This is a dynamic role, so objectives will shift as we learn and experiment. The ideal candidate is a creative builder with a strong entrepreneurial mindset, who can think about the big picture and get hands on to build early prototypes.

What you should have:

• Current PhD student in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or similar
• Strong programming skills in Python, C++, Java or other
• Expertise in industrial cybersecurity, IoT cybersecurity, and/or OT cybersecurity
• Comfort with navigating ambiguity

It'd be great if you also had these:

• Deep understanding of large language models and transformer-based models
• Prior hands on experience with industrial cybersecurity systems in a real world application
• Prior entrepreneurial and/or co-founder experience

The US base salary range for this full-time position is between $118,000 - $145,000 + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your location during the hiring process.
