What You Will Do
- Initiates and maintains positive relationships with patients, customers, co-workers

- Organizes and performs tasks efficiently to meet departmental turnaround time standards
- Processes specimens for laboratory testing as well as moderately complex testing
- Proficient in pediatric draws and/or processing of inpatient and outpatient orders
- Performs with minimal error rate
- Performs Data Entry

- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Complies with all policies and standards.

- Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.
Qualifications:
Education
- High School Equivalent / GED (Required) and
- Other Accredited Program Formal training from an accredited phlebotomy school or medical assistant program, preferred
Work Experience
- 1+ years of previous phlebotomy experience preferred
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Proficient in pediatric draws and/or processing of inpatient and outpatient orders (Required proficiency)
- Computer data entry, laboratory processes including sterile technique, aliquoting and phlebotomy experience (Preferred proficiency)
