Responsibilities

Established in 1986, Anchor Hospital specializes in the treatment of behavioral health and addictive disease disorders for teens, adults and seniors. Our mental health facility in Atlanta, Georgia is located on a secluded, 55-acre campus, less than three miles from Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport and is accredited by the Joint Commission.

The phlebotomist is responsible collecting blood specimens through venipuncture and skin puncture. The positon requires extensive time sitting, writing, and talking on telephone; physical demands are moderate to low. Candidates must be able to assist in physical crisis intervention when necessary.

Qualifications

Education:

High School Diploma or GED equivalent

Experience:

Minimum of 1 year of prior job related experience

License/Certification:

Certification as a Phlebotomist

Skills:

Demonstrates the ability to communicate verbally and in writing. Verification of absence of criminal record on local, state and federal levels.

Physical Requirements:

Medium demand, mentally. Requires extensive time sitting, writing, and talking on telephone. Ability to assist in crisis intervention, physical intervention with out of control patients.

Other:

Performs others duties as may be assigned by CNO/ ACNO/Manager/Supervisor or

CEO.
