Schedule: Per Diem, need to be available at least 4 shifts in a month which depends on unit needs. Schedule will be to cover unit needs which may be either days, evenings or nights, including possible weekend coverage.

AdventHealth Parker is a Level II Trauma Center that serves our community by providing excellent, community-focused health care. Since we opened our doors in 2004, we have grown into a regional medical center. In 2017, we received the designation of a Magnet Recognized Hospital. In 2018, we became one of the only five hospitals in the nation, and the only hospital in Colorado, to receive Joint Commission Certification for Bariatrics. We have 170 Licensed beds, 23 Emergency Department private rooms, and 13 surgical suites.

The role you'll contribute:

The Phlebotomy Services Tech is responsible for collection and processing of blood samples and other specimens as defined by site. Provides a high level of customer service for lab inquiries, test requirements, and other laboratory information

Follows laboratory, hospital, and regulatory agency policies, procedures, and guidelines.*

Performs venous, capillary, urine drug screen, swab collection or other specimen collection as defined by site.*

Ensures quality collection of specimens including appropriate sample container, sample volume, collection priority, and

sample identification.*

Provides accurate collection information to care givers and patients.*

Resolves unusual test orders by following up with care giver, reference lab, pathology, referring to lab leadership when

appropriate.*

Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:
  • HS GED

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:

6 months Phlebotomy work experience preferred

Completion of a phlebotomy program preferred
