Hartford HealthCare Rehabilitation Network is the premier rehabilitation provider in Connecticut. We provide rehabilitation services across the continuum - acute care hospitals, long term care facilities, sub-acute rehabilitation, homecare, outpatient centers, and in community settings such as senior centers, work sites, and schools and colleges. Overview
We're seeking an experienced, dedicated and caring Physical Therapist (PT) to join The Hospital of Central Connecticut's outpatient location in New Britain, CT who has a passion for Outpatient care, and is looking to work as part of a dynamic team.
With the opportunity to work in our physical medicine clinic on the campus of the Hospital of Central Connecticut, and treat specialties including vestibular care, concussion management, sports medicine, neurologic/movement disorders, balance and gait assessment, and orthopedics including post-op, this position is a sought after assignment for new grads and experienced clinicians alike.
This is a great opportunity to work with a diverse orthopedic population that offers a wonderful team atmosphere with experienced clinicians and some of the best orthopedic physicians, nurses and physician assistants in New England!
Position Description
The Physical Therapist (PT) independently evaluates, determines treatment strategies, delivers and/or delegates services that identify, prevent, remediate, and rehabilitate acute or prolonged physical dysfunction or pain, with emphasis on physical dysfunction. This role encompasses evaluation skills and techniques, analysis of patients, and therapeutic application of physical and chemical agents, exercise and other procedures to maximize the patient's functional independence. Evaluation involves strength, motor control, joint mobility, soft tissue integrity, pain, balance, coordination, posture, cardiopulmonary function, endurance, gait and functional abilities in activities of daily living. Reporting structure is dependent upon the site in which the staff member is assigned. This role will float to all Physical Medicine office locations on an as needed basis.

Qualifications:
• BS, MS or DPT in Physical Therapy from an accredited American Physical Therapy Association Program.
• Current CT Physical Therapy license required.
• Outpatient specific experience highly preferred.
