Position Title: Physical Therapy Assistant

General Purpose :

Harborview is looking for a dynamic Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to add to our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a full range of physical therapy therapeutic interventions under the supervision of a Licensed Physical Therapist (PT).

Essential Duties:

Assist in the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans for patients. Provide hands-on therapy to patients, including exercises, stretches, and manual techniques. Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary. Educate patients and their families on exercises and techniques for at-home care. Maintain accurate documentation of patient evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care. Adhere to all legal and ethical guidelines in the provision of physical therapy services.

Experience: Previous experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant is preferred Knowledge of occupational health practices and medical terminology Strong patient care skills with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with patients.

Requirements:

Valid state licensure or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant. Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team. Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
