POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for evaluating, planning, directing and administering physical therapy plans of care in Acute Care low volume inpatient setting. Assist with clinic functions including day planning and patient flow. Maintains equipment, supplies and patient treatment areas. Supervises physical therapy assistants, rehab techs, and interns.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Physical Therapy degree required.

LICENSE AND CERTIFICATION:
Current Texas Physical Therapy license and current BLS required.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP:
Manager of Rehab Services

(KEY RESPONSIBILITIES)
*Coordinate and direct patient care to ensure patient needs are met and hospital policies are followed.
*Responsible for direction of physical therapy assistants, rehab techs, students, and interns.
*Perform appropriate assessments and reassessments, evaluates treatment effects, and recommends changes to physicians when necessary.
*Select appropriate physical therapy modalities based on patient condition.
*Maintain department cleanliness and safety.
*Interact professionally and communicates appropriately with patients, physicians, staff and administrative team.
*Assist with orientation and in-service training for department staff members.
*Document according to hospital standards and policies.
*Ensure that patient charges are accurate and submitted in a timely manner.
*Take initiative during downtime to assist with departmental tasks.
*Perform other duties as assigned.
