Provider Relations Manager will be responsible for visiting Jefferson employed & independent Primary Care and Specialty Practices to share information on priority programs/services in order to generate new referrals and contribute to market share growth (80% of time is in territory; remainder attending meetings & handling administrative duties)

The role is dedicated to developing and cultivating relationships through face-to face interactions with Physicians, Advanced Practice Providers and staff within their practices. In addition, the PRM will coordinate Onboarding/Outreach visits with Jefferson Health providers and travel with them to facilitate introductions.

The PRM will participate in review of Fiscal Year Sales Plans based on Jefferson Health's strategic and operating plans, internal stakeholder input and market intelligence. Input from the PRM is valuable relative to local market dynamics & economics.

This person will understand the practice of medicine including referral relationships, payor requirements and other economic and financial influences.

Responsible for a geographical territory encompassing Philadelphia and suburbs .

PRIMARY FUNCTION : The Provider Relations Manager (PRM) will be responsible for clinical growth by retaining current and generating new referrals from employed, affiliated and independent Providers. The PRM will participate in development of referral development plans based on Jefferson Health's strategic and operating plans, internal stakeholder input and market intelligence. The role is exclusively dedicated to developing and cultivating relationships through face-to face interactions with Physicians, Advanced Practice Providers, Practice Managers, Referral Coordinators. The PRM will assist with Onboarding appropriate new Providers by scheduling in-person/virtual Meet & Greets. This person will understand health care, the practice of medicine including referral relationships, external and internal factors (ex. payor requirements) and other economic and financial influences.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • The role will be: 75-80% of the time in the field meeting with providers and their staff. This may include support with select physician events at the discretion of the Director. 15% of time is set aside for field preparation and post-visit documentation and 5-15% is dedicated to learning about clinical offerings and working with internal stakeholders.
  • Within a defined geographic territory, facilitates relationships with providers/staff by direct communication to maintain existing referrals, generate new referrals and increase volume into the system.
  • Participates in the development & implementation of Sales Plans to increase patient volume in the assigned geography and overall Jefferson Health service area.
  • Promptly Records Encounters in Salesforce and updates account information in CRM.
  • Working with the Director, maintains a data driven list of targeted physicians that relate to the assigned territory based on demographics, referral trends and other details as appropriate.
  • Facilitates relationships between Community Providers, local health system Providers and Academic Medical Center Providers by direct communication to earn referrals into into the health system.

Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson.

Qualifications

EDUCATIONAL/TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor degree required, preferred in business, science, healthcare or public health administration

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS :
  • Minimum of two (2) to three (3) years of sales experience within health care provider setting. Strong direct relationship sales experience.
  • Previous experience in provider relationship management preferred
