Job Summary/Basic Function
The Department of Physics and Astronomy at Middle Tennessee State University invites applicants for a research-track faculty position at the rank of assistant or associate professor. The start date for the position is August 1, 2024. The position is contingent upon funding.
The successful candidate will perform administrative tasks as the lab director, establish and maintain partnerships and contracts to maintain continuous funding for the laboratory, produce a significant amount of high-quality research, and teach in the Department of Physics and Astronomy. In addition, the successful candidate is expected to have refereed journal publications applying Mössbauer spectroscopy to analyze pharmaceutical products. This renewable appointment is contingent on securing continuous external funding to support the lab's expenses.
Required Education
A terminal degree in Physics, which must be conferred by August 1, 2024, is required.
