Description

The EPC Scheduler is responsible for detailed planning of the engineering, procurement and construction activities related to various boiler retrofit projects. Leads schedule updates for progress reporting, cost control and resource loading.

  • Demonstrates understanding of EPC contract requirements both technically and commercially.
  • Demonstrates understanding of budget allowances and budget performance.
  • Direct project planning and scheduling activities; direct and monitor the adherence of the plan's execution.
  • Set expectations and provide clear direction to support staff resources; conduct regularly scheduled staff meetings and provide performance feedback.
  • Identify contract change events and take appropriate action; communicate issues to management in a timely manner.
  • Develop and maintain formal communications, adequate documentation, and records of the project.
  • Ensure proper implementation of the company safety program and quality program.
  • Manage effective implementation of project controls and forecasts along with progress reporting.
  • Provide management of labor relations and monitor manpower status.


Qualifications

  • Must have extensive primavera scheduling experience with a fundamental understanding on the critical path method. (7 years min).
  • Must have extensive experience generating project controls reporting through various industry standard performance metrics, examples EVM, CPI, SPI (5 years min).
  • Demonstrated experience scheduling industrial engineering related activities, knowledge in civil, mechanical, structural and electrical disciplines preferred. (5 years min)
  • Demonstrated experience scheduling various supply chain related activities, including raw material sourcing, fabrication, transportation, etc. (5 years min)
  • Demonstrated experience scheduling various construction related activities, background in civil, mechanical, structural and electrical disciplines preferred. (5 years min)
  • Industrial retrofit experience preferred, knowledge of modifying or upgrading existing utility boilers.
  • Strong computer skills with extensive experience using Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook and Primavera.
  • Ability to influence both external and internal parties within the best interest of the project.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage concurrent assignments.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with experience speaking to all levels within a corporate organization.
  • Strong financial acumen with an understanding of how project performance impacts company goals, especially within a publicly traded environment.
  • Experience using Deltek Acumen.
