The Planning and Analysis-HCS Intern is responsible for the following duties:

a. Engineering Plan Review

b. Data Entry and database report development

c. Hydraulic modeling and analysis

d. Environmental engineering projects

e. Creating and maintaining GIS layers

f. Reviewing and analyzing operational data

g. Excel spreadsheet modeling

h. Engineering consultant coordination

i. Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements
Education:

A rising junior, senior or graduate college student currently enrolled in an accredited college/university in the areas of Civil or Environmental Engineering or related field

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

Knowledge of GIS, MS Access, Hydraulic Modeling, and MS Excel are desirable

Must be able to communicate clearly with all levels of HRSD staff and have strong interpersonal skills

Must support a diverse and inclusive work environment where differences are respected and embraced

Must be able to perform simple engineering and mathematical calculation

Must be able to follow technical instructions, procedures and schedules

Special Licenses:

Required- Valid Driver's License from state of residence
