Your role and responsibilities

As an intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience through various projects. Each day, you will acquire knowledge by performing tasks as directed. You will also showcase your expertise by supporting ABB's operations and enhancing personal education/employment opportunities. The work model for the role is: onsite You will be mainly accountable for: • Assist the PF (Planning and Fulfillment) team with their monthly Microsoft Excel product forecasting files. • Run the Monthly excel based Business Intelligence data report of product revenue and units. • Process the monthly SAP reporting as required, this includes inventory reports, consumption reports, material master settings, etc. • Develop Power BI reports based on existing excel reports and files. • Collect monthly Operational Metrics - on time delivery, lead times, root cause analysis - for use in the PF reviews. • Support various PF projects including planning tools, vendor managed inventory (VMI) for key customers, and statistical forecasting. • Production Orders - Releases manufacturing work orders and/or monitors automated releases. Executes daily, plant-level materials requirement planning (MRP) to create and manage production requirements to meet the production delivery schedules. • Support various business stakeholders in daily Planning and Fulfillment related tasks.

Qualifications for the role

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in business with supply chain emphasis or industrial engineering, in the United States.
  • Intern must have reliable transportation to and from the worksite.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the future.
  • Utilize critical thinking skills to analyze complex situations and develop strategic solutions
  • Effectively organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
  • Demonstrate the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously without compromising quality
  • Collaborate with team members to convey ideas, share information, and provide updates on project progress
