Manufacturing Unit Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead supply planning, inventory management, and resource management in the regional distribution center or local Sales organization. Each day, you will drive planning initiatives to improve customer on-time delivery and lead time. You will also showcase your expertise by ensuring adherence to inventory and supply plan. The work model for the role is: onsite This role is contributing to the Electrification Distribution Solutions division in North America. You will be mainly accountable for: • Provides visibility of supply capacity and local supply objectives into the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process. • Accountable for site inventory and driving inventory optimization projects within the site. • Runs a short-term planning process or Sales & Operation Execution (S&OE) process, ensuring seamless • Leads/contributes to cross-functional initiatives for optimizing customer on-time delivery, lead time, inventory, resource utilization, and forecast accuracy.

Qualifications for the role

  • University degree in Business or Supply Chain.
  • 8 years of experience in Planning, Logistics or Supply Chain required.
  • SAP experience required..
  • MBA preferred.
  • APICS CPIM Certification preferred.
  • Proficient in inventory management
  • Proficient in understanding of Financials and leveraging operations efficiently to maximize Net Working Capital
  • Prior experience in manufacturing environment; preferably in similar industry
  • Prior experience in value chain management from order entry to shipment
  • Prior experience in large Manu location with revenues in excess of 100 MUSD
  • In depth understanding in execution of master scheduling and planning for multiple product lines
  • Demonstration of ability to Influence others
  • Prior people manager experience; demonstration of effective leadership competencies
  • Career progression in SCM / planning and Fulfillment
  • Six Sigma skills
  • Lean Manufacturing skills and application
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
