Position Summary: The Plant Controller plays a pivotal role within the Plant Management Team. Collaborating with the international executive team and other manufacturing site management teams, this individual evaluates and selects the organization's strategic objectives. The Plant Controller defines and manages systems to ensure efficient achievement of these objectives. Additionally, they communicate and track financial and operational key performance indicators (KPIs) across all departments, while ensuring effective internal controls.
Responsibilities:
  1. Strategic and Tactical Participation:
    • Engage in strategic and tactical activities related to plant operations.
    • Provide essential analysis to inform decisions on organizational strategy and objectives. This includes capacity analysis to support investment decisions, along with Return-on-Investment (ROI) calculations to ensure adequate returns on investments.
  2. Internal Control System Management:
    • Collaborate with the North American hub and international headquarters to define and manage the internal control system.
    • Establish and maintain local controls that meet local requirements while adhering to North American and Corporate policies. These controls include, but are not limited to:
      • Budget process and system
      • Internal financial and operational reporting process
      • Costing (including product costing)
      • Processes for cost savings, continuous improvement, efficiencies, and value-added initiatives across all areas, particularly in purchasing.
      • Policies, procedures, and standard operating procedures

Minimum Qualifications:
  1. 10+ years of accounting and progressive experience
    • Demonstrated expertise in financial accounting and reporting.
    • Experience in an international organizational context.
  2. Industry Experience:
    • Prior experience in the medical device industry or other highly regulated sectors.
    • Familiarity with compliance requirements specific to regulated industries.
  3. Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or an equivalent field.
    • CPA or equivalent international certification is a plus.
    • MBA or Master's Degree in Accounting is advantageous.
  4. Skills and Competencies:
    • Leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills to collaborate effectively across teams.
    • Strong integrated business knowledge to contribute strategically.
    • Adaptability and rapid learning in a fast-paced environment.
    • Analytical and hands-on problem-solving skills .
  5. Technical Proficiency:
    • Proficient in MS-Office , especially Excel.
    • Experience with SAP or other ERP systems implementation and usage.
  6. Knowledge of International Accounting Standards (IFRS) is a plus.
  • Ability to adapt and learn rapidly In a fast paced environment
  • Analytical and hands-on problem solving skills
  • Proficient in MS-Office, especially with Excel
  • SAP or other ERP system implementation and usage experience
  • International Accounting Standard (IFRS) knowledge is a plus
Work Environment & Physical Demands
  • General office environment with no special physical demands .
  • Occasionally working beyond, normal, office hours should be expected,
  • Occasional travel to Andover, MA or Basle, Switzerland (up to 4 total trips/ year) should be expected.
