Plant Superintendent

Job Description

We are helping our client hire a Plant Superintendent (operations manager) south of Richmond VA to manage production teams and capital spending plans in order to upgrade and restart a production site. Our client is investing in improving production operations for this crucial location.

This is a great opportunity for a Mining Engineer who has progressed his/her career with a strong background in process engineering and production improvements. You will apply creative energy and analytical decision making to monitor processes. You will use your full suite of technical skills and expertise in project management, process engineering and managing long term production operations.

In this role you will manage supervisors and set production schedules for production staff for two shifts for 24/7 high volume manufacturing where large shipments are shipped by rail.

The background we are seeking:

• Bachelor's Degree in Mining Engineering or Mechanical Engineering (or related process engineering field)
• Mining industry experience
• Experienced mining process engineer with strong production improvement or operations management experience
• Well rounded industrial safety knowledge (MSHA preferred)
