Job Purpose

Primary Responsibilities :
  • Follows ALL Safety Guidelines / Practices.
  • Utilize Fork Truck to move & stage material; understands Pallet Weight Restrictions.
  • Perform Movex transactions, as required.
  • Perform Housekeeping / TPEM / 5S, as required.
  • Perform duties of Center Weld Position:
  • Stamp Press
  • Banding Equipment
  • Hand Skiving
  • Packaging Material
  • Deburring
  • Adhere to proper packaging requirements.
  • Record quality information on QA sheets, verification of calibration, & inspect work in-process.
  • Perform Welding operation:
  • Read Manufacturing Orders
  • Product Identification
  • Identify Weld failures
  • Check product quality
  • Read & comprehend Blueprints.
  • Perform Weld set-up:
  • Enter / edit data settings
  • Troubleshoot & adjust weld settings
  • Sword cleaning.
  • Perform Debeader set-up & operation.
  • Review existing work in-progress with Crew Leaders & other Welders.
  • Prep sheets by using Router & misc. hand tools, as needed.
  • Be aware of when equipment requires maintenance & notify proper personnel.
  • Perform operation of Plug Machine.
  • Perform basic Sawing operations.
  • Production of Capped Bolts.
  • Understand warehouse locations, skid tags, sheet labels, & basic plant layout.

Desired Qualifications :
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Demonstrate measurement skills; ability to use various measuring devices with above-average accuracy.
  • Computer literate.
  • Demonstrated ability in use of saws.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Ability to operate a Forklift.
  • Basic understanding of Quality Control.
  • History of Safe Working Behaviors.
  • Ability to solve problems / troubleshoot, with minimal supervision.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Team player.
  • Physical abilities - refer to job analysis.

  • The salary for this position is $ 18.73.
