Title: Point of Sale (POS) Venue Technician Department: Information Technology Status: Full-Time Pay Rate: $24.00 - $28.50/hour* Reports to: Information Technology, Service Desk Manager *Compensation rates vary based on job-related factors, including experience, job skills, education, and training. The POS Venue Technician will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of POS systems at our venue. This role ensures that all POS equipment operates efficiently and supports smooth transaction processes during events. Additionally, the technician will manage digital menu boards through the product Triple Play. The ideal candidate has a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a customer-focused attitude. Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Install, configure, and test POS hardware and software systems.
  • Set up network connectivity for POS devices.
  • Perform regular maintenance and updates on POS systems.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues promptly.
  • Maintain an inventory of POS equipment and related peripherals.
  • Coordinate with service providers for repairs and maintenance when necessary.
  • Manage and update digital menu boards through the product Triple Play.
  • Ensure digital content is current, visually appealing, and accurately reflects the offerings.
  • Troubleshoot any issues with the digital menu boards to ensure continuous operation.
  • Maintain accurate records of installations, maintenance activities, and issues resolved.
Basic Requirements/Qualifications:
  • Proficiency with POS hardware (e.g., terminals, scanners, printers) and software systems.
  • Understanding of networking concepts and troubleshooting.
  • Experience managing digital signage systems, preferably with Triple Play by Uniguest.
  • Able to handle multiple tasks and to organize and prioritize workload efficiently.
  • Able to recognize and maintain confidentiality of work materials and issues as appropriate.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by event schedules.
  • Experience in a live event or entertainment venue environment.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working with POS systems in a venue or event setting.
This position will require you to perform the following tasks:
  • Work in outdoor weather conditions; work in wet and rainy weather as needed.
  • Occasionally move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds; occasionally move about to access various areas of the stadium and remain in a stationary position for extended time periods.
  • Position self to install and/or check various equipment, including but not limited to, areas underneath and/or around concession stand counters for extended time periods.
