OhioMHAS operates regional psychiatric hospitals in six locations across the state that operate 365/24/7. Our specialized facilities provide short-term, intensive treatment to patients in both inpatient and community-supported environments. We also deliver comprehensive care to patients committed by criminal courts.
We are accepting applications for a full-time permanent Police Officer 2 within the Protective Services Department, headquartered at Twin Valley Behavioral Healthcare, 2200 West Broad Street, Columbus, OH 43220. This will be a 2nd or 3rd shift position.
What You'll Do:
• Performs police related duties per hospital policy
• Secures buildings and grounds by foot or vehicle patrol
• Advises the public of policies
• Escorts visitors to visitation
• Assists nursing staff during emergency codes per policy
• Conducts investigations on alleged violations of hospital policy
• Completes documentation as required

Probationary period is one year. Note: Applicant must be able to successfully perform Ohio Peace Officer Basic Training Program (OPOTC) Fitness Testing Entry Standards for New Recruits
