Meta is seeking a Policy Manager to support the execution of global policy priorities. In this role, you'll be a member of the Policy Planning team, a globally focused central function that supports the work of policy teams through strategic planning, coordination, and policy advising. Your primary responsibility will be to produce engagement briefs and policy memos that are substantively strong and clearly communicated for an executive audience. You will support strategic engagements more broadly, helping plan and execute internal and external policy related executive meetings, trips, and events, and contribute to policy analyses, strategic planning, and thought leadership. The candidate must have a highly flexible skillset to juggle a range of tasks, including engagement briefs, policy analysis, strategy development, internal communications, coordination of critical projects, and contributions to team culture and values. The ideal candidate is a public policy expert who is passionate about technology, intellectually curious, and able to function in a fast-paced environment with quickly evolving priorities. They will have demonstrated experience thinking strategically, exhibiting creativity, and communicating effectively with imperfect information, especially with executive and/or policymakers. They will have a proven track record of driving results by working collaboratively with multiple teams, understanding different perspectives, and working to identify the best path forward.

Policy Planning Manager Responsibilities


  • Draft and edit policy briefing materials for executives, leadership, and internal stakeholders across the company

  • Draft public remarks for members of the Global Public Policy leadership team

  • Provide substantive, high-quality policy analysis on business, technology, regulatory, and political developments to inform leadership thinking

  • Work collaboratively with a wide range of subject matter experts including legal, policy, communications, and product stakeholders to develop policy priorities and positions

  • Coordinate internal processes to support the execution of executive engagement priorities

  • Draft internal communications and contribute to team culture and values


Minimum Qualifications


  • Bachelor's Degree in Political Science, Public Policy, International Relations, History, Technology, or similar field

  • 8+ years of experience in public policy, tech, or similar field

  • Proven communications skills, including experience working and communicating with senior executives or officials

  • Proven interpersonal skills and capacity to build a variety of cross functional relationships based on trust and respect


Preferred Qualifications


  • Advanced Degree, MBA, or Law Degree
