Position Summary:
Responsible for attaching electrodes and monitors to patients who are participating in a sleep study. Monitors the patient throughout the sleep study and documents observations, collects data from various monitors and reports this information to the physician.
Reports to: Director-Cardiopulmonary
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum education:
Completion of a sleep lab training program preferred
Minimum Work Experience:
Sleep Lab experience preferred.
Required Licenses:
Current Respiratory Therapist Licensure to practice in the state of Kentucky preferred
Current Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) required.
Required Skills Certifications:
Current American Heart Association BLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire date.
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Language Skills: Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
