Description

The post-doctoral fellow will be housed in the department of Forestry and Environmental Conservation on Clemson University's main campus. This position will characterize and value the ecosystem services provided by lands enrolled in the Conservation Reserve Program (CRP) in the Southern United States using advanced spatiotemporal modeling techniques mixed with regression- and optimization-based approaches. Additionally, the post doctoral fellow will facilitate the development of a web-based education and outreach tool. They are expected to complete research within one year from the start date (Jan 01, 2025). However, an extension (up to one more year) is possible depending on the overall performance and the availability of funds.

Qualifications

Candidates with relevant educational backgrounds (Ph.D. required) are encouraged to apply. International candidates are encouraged as well. Experience in spatiotemporal modeling, regression-based models, and optimization techniques is needed. Experience in web development is encouraged but not required.
