Summary:

Scientist to work on NIH-funded studies of aging in a stimulating multi-disciplinary environment, including research in diverse groups and studies of genetics and genomics using Rush Alzheimer's Disease Center (RADC) cohort data. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Conduct high-level epidemiologic analyses in diverse groups, with a focus on older Latinx populations, to understand behavioral risk factors for Alzheimer's dementia, including submission of manuscripts for publication in national and international medical journals. Conduct high-level epidemiologic analyses of behavioral risk factors for Alzheimer's dementia, including submission of manuscripts for publication in national and international medical journals. Conduct high-level epidemiologic analyses using data on neuropathology, to understand biologic pathways underlying Alzheimer's dementia, including submission of manuscripts for publication in national and international medical journals. Utilize data on brain genomics to conduct high-level analyses of biologic factors associated with Alzheimer's dementia and neuropathology, including submission of manuscripts for publication in national and international medical journals. Contribute to and support epidemiologic research by faculty in the Center, especially involving Latinx older populations. Present research findings at local, national, and international scientific meetings. Continually learn and apply epidemiologic, statistical, medical and biologic concepts and techniques to advance research in aging and dementia.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Ph.D. required, preferably in epidemiology, or related field. Knowledge of epidemiology or cohort study design and statistical analyses is desired. Experience with Latinx cohorts highly desired. Strong skills in writing, good communication, and team building skills are required.
