The Beckman Research Institute of City of Hope is looking for a talented Postdoctoral Fellow.

As a member of the Department of Diabetes and Cancer Metabolism, Dr. Shuck's lab is focused on elucidating the mechanisms linking diabetes and cancer. Her lab utilizes a multi-prong approach using human, mouse, and cell models to determine the role of metabolic alterations in this process. They are also interested in characterizing the role of health disparities on these mechanisms.

As a successful candidate, you will:
  • Be proficient in sterile tissue culture.
  • Be proficient in biochemical assays including qPCR, Western blot, enzymatic assays.
  • Have a working knowledge of statistics.
  • Work well with a diverse team.
  • Available to mentor students and trainees.
  • Have strong presentation and writing skills.




Your qualifications should include:
  • Ph.D. degree in life or biomedical sciences, or a related discipline is required.
  • Experience in biochemistry and/or cell biology.
