The Systems Genetics laboratory of Dr. Mete Civelek located at the Department of Genome Sciences at the University of Virginia is looking for a Postdoctoral Research Associate.

The successful candidate will be expected to work on dissecting molecular pathways of atherosclerosis in diabetic individuals. The work will be done using samples and data from human tissues. Current lab members are trained in various disciplines; therefore, we are primarily looking for enthusiastic team members with strong interest in human genetics and cardiometabolic disorders, and not specific skill sets. This position and work is funded by a recent U01 grant from the NIDDK.

Doctoral degree

Start date: December 1, 2024 or upon mutual agreement.

This is a 12-month appointment with the possibility of renewal contingent upon satisfactory performance and the availability of funding. Salary is commensurate with education and experience.
