Key Responsibilities

  • We are seeking an experienced Power BI Architect to join our team and oversee the development and administration of Power BI solutions for our clients. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Power BI development, performance optimization, and data modeling, as well as strong knowledge of SQL Server and other data platforms. This is a technical role with a strong focus on Power BI solution design, embedded development, and performance optimization.
  • Design and develop Power BI solutions for clients, including embedded development and optimization.
  • Optimize SQL performance and tuning, clustering, always-on availability groups, and high availability.
  • Develop complex calculations and measures using DAX.
  • Integrate data warehouse concepts and experience with data warehouse integration.
  • Solve performance problems, query tuning, and optimization.
  • Architect high availability and disaster recovery solutions using FCI and always-on availability groups.
  • Deliver technical training to clients and team members.
What you need to succeed

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest Power BI and data platform technologies and trends.
  • Proven experience in Power BI development, performance optimization, and data modeling.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL Server and other data platforms.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Previous consulting and/or customer-facing roles.
  • Experience with Azure data factory, Azure SQLDB, Azure SQLDB Managed Instance, and Azure Synapse.
  • Knowledge of Power BI row-level security and other security features.
  • Experience with custom visualizations, indexing strategy, and partitioning data implementations.
  • Strong understanding of database schema creation and management, high availability, disaster recovery, and storage management techniques.
  • Experience with data encryption, auditing, and replication.
  • Familiarity with SQL edition and version differences, discontinued and deprecated features, and upgrade processes.
  • Knowledge of Windows failover clustering and SQL Server reporting service and analysis service.
