Power BI Developer/Architect

Role and Responsibilities:

• Design, develop and optimize performance of BI solutions
• Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to gather and understand data requirements
• Study, analyze and understand business requirements to set functional specifications for reporting applications
• Design and map data models to shift raw data into meaningful insights
• Utilize Power BI and other reporting tools to build dynamic and visually appealing dashboards and reports
• Analyze data for better decision making
• Transform business requirements into technical publications
• Build multi-dimensional data models
• Run DAX queries and various functions in Power BI
• Document BI solutions and processes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve BI-related issues
• Train and mentor junior-level team members
• Stay updated with the latest BI technologies and trends

Requirements and Skills:

• ?Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in business intelligence
• Expertise in developing Power BI solutions
• Working knowledge with Tabular Editor or similar tools
• Proficiency in DAX queries
• Proficiency in SQL and database management systems is a plus
• Experience with ETL tools and processes
• Strong data modeling skills

• Experience in data warehousing and data preparation working with billions of lines of data
• Knowledge of data governance and data quality best practices
• Working knowledge with Power BI, SSAS, SSRS, and SSIS components of the Microsoft Business Intelligence Stack
• Working knowledge with the Microsoft SQL Server BI Stack, including SSRS and TSQL, Power Query, MDX, PowerBI, and DAX
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills for converting data into reports
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong preference in experience working with Azure Cloud and Microsoft Fabric and understanding their features
