The Department of Ophthalmology is seeking a Practice Manager for the Retinal Disorders and Ophthalmic Genetics (RDOG) Division in Westwood. This role is responsible for overseeing the daily administrative and clinical operations of the division, ensuring the efficient delivery of patient care services, including those provided by the Visual Physiology Laboratory and the Ophthalmic Genetic Counseling Program.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage daily patient care operations and facilities.
  • Oversee administrative and fiscal analysis, resource management, and CareConnect project implementation.
  • Supervise staff, coordinate performance evaluations and disciplinary actions, and motivate staff.
  • Oversee recruitment, training, and compliance.
  • Monitor patient billing, revenue, and administrative systems.
  • Coordinate academic activities and clinical education for medical students, residents, and fellows.
  • Oversee the process for patient surgeries and procedures, including insurance verification and pre-operative counseling.
  • Provide technical and front office support as needed.
  • Identify areas for improvement; develop and implement policies and procedures for quality care.
  • Assist Division Chief and RDOG faculty with establishment of a plan to expand patient care in the Division through recruitment of additional faculty members and the incorporation of new equipment and services.

Salary Range: $32.95 - 67.53 Hourly
