Department Description:

CHA PACE is a Program of All Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) at Cambridge Health Alliance (CHA). CHA PACE serves adults 55 years and older with chronic medical and/or mental health difficulties with the goals of achieving the highest level of community independence and preventing nursing home placement. CHA PACE’s high functioning interdisciplinary team works to fully integrate and coordinate medical and behavioral health care, community resources, and in home support services. This position is located at 163 Gore St Cambridge CHA PACE at East Cambridge Care Center.

Job Summary:

The Practice Medical Receptionist for the CHA PACE team performs a wide range of administrative and support functions for the department. They act as the link between the health provider, and the patient, as well as between other Alliance departments, outside service agencies, and consulting providers. The person in this role serves as a primary point of contact for patients and visitors in an outpatient unit and provides excellent customer service through clear communication.

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma; some college preferred
  • Preferably one-year experience, preferably in a medical setting
  • Excellent customer service skills and telephone etiquette
  • Demonstrates effective communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently or in teams
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of Medical Terminology preferred
  • EPIC experience preferred
