  • This role is 100% in-person at MaineHealth Cardiology located in Scarborough, ME. Our practice supports more than 40 physicians and 30 advanced practice providers (APPs) in our shared goal of making our communities the healthiest in America.

    This dynamic and exciting leadership position is perfect for professionals with a strong background in healthcare leadership. This role will directly supervise 20 non-clinical positions. This role has oversight over two teams. The first team is a group of 10 patient service representatives who staff our front desk; they are responsible for check-in, check-out, no-shows, and other front-facing responsibilities. The second team is a group of 10 scheduling specialists who are responsible for established patient scheduling; including post-hospital discharge visits, diagnostic test scheduling, and staffing our in-house phone switchboard. This role is responsible for overall leadership support and guidance across the practice. Occasional project work, cross-team coverage, and other responsibilities will be expected. Flexibility and the ability to adapt to change quickly will be expected.

    2+ years of healthcare experience is required. Previous leadership experience required; healthcare leadership experience preferred.
  • Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
    • Education: High School degree preferred.
    • License/Certifications: N/A
    • Experience: Two or more years in hospital outpatient clinic experience. Supervisory experience preferred.
    • Interpersonal and communication skills necessary to interact effectively with staff, patients, families, providers, managers.
    • Ability to resolve problems in an accurate and timely manner. Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail.
    • Proficient computer skills, including but not limited to Microsoft Office suite applications such as Word and Excel.
    • Strong communication and organizational skills.
    • Proven experience in a customer service environment.
    • Skills in planning, organizing, delegating and supervising.
    • Ability to maintain a professional manner even under stressful situations.
