Overview

The Suite Attendant is responsible for serving guests in the Arena Premium Suites. The Suite Attendant must be personable and able to work in an ever-changing fast-paced environment.
The employee must maintain excellent attendance and be available to work events as scheduled per business needs.

This role will pay an hourly wage of $12 to $15 plus tips

For PT roles: Benefits: 401(k) savings plan and 401(k) matching. Also, OVG provides part-time, seasonal, and internship employees with one hour of accrued paid leave per 30 hours worked, up to 48 hours per year.

This position will remain open until September 30, 2024.

Responsibilities
  • Ability to read and understand Banquet Event Orders
  • Provide fine dining level food and beverage service to guests for all events consistent with DLTCC standards of service
  • Initiate and maintain friendly and professional contact with guests ensuring that all needs are anticipated and met
  • Have a high level of social contact. Ability to work closely with staff and deal often with patrons
  • Responsible for setup of food service areas within assigned suites and club areas based upon pre-order
  • Responsible for cleanup of food and beverage service items in suites and club areas
  • Ability to work independently during slower times
  • Ensures all assigned suites are set prior to event based upon communication received of orders
  • Responsible for organization and preparation of events in assigned locations
  • Maintain and inventory for both food and beverage stations
  • Abiltiy to maintain high level of communication with the Suites Kitchen Supervisor
  • Maintain all event areas and front of house staging areas in a tidy and organized manner
  • Responsible for assisting in closing out financials per event and ensuring correct billing takes place
  • Knowledge of POS (ex: Tapin2 ordering system)
  • Monitor and maintain food quality
  • Follows all company policies and procedures, upholding safety and sanitation standards, and ensuring a positive atmosphere for team members and guests
  • Monitor and enforce safe alcohol policies and procedures
  • Monitor and maintain inventory control and product requisition fulfilling
  • Have full knowledge of food and beverage menu items and accompaniments
  • Responsible for supervising the service of beverages to guests including alcoholic beverages. Must check guest's ID to verify minimum age requirement for the purchase of alcoholic beverages
  • Responsible for observing guests to respond to any additional requests
  • Must show demonstrated ability to meet the company standard for excellent attendance
  • Must be detail oriented to ensure that work is accurate and complete, able to multi-task
  • Assures that the location equipment is operable and clean prior to start of event
  • Responsible for recognizing guests that are visibly intoxicated and taking action to cut off alcohol to such individuals
  • Ability to read with oral and written communications skills in the English language
  • Knowledge of basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division)
  • Must be able to stand for extend periods of time
  • Ability to bend, stretch, twist or reach out with the body, arms and/or legs
  • Must be able to lift, push, pull or carry heavy objects up to 50 lbs
  • Must be punctual with consistent attendance
  • Must be able to respond to simple complaints or inquiries from customers, members of the business community, and/or regulatory agencies
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends and select holidays
  • All other duties as assigned by the managers and supervisors

Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent GED strong preferred
  • Minimum of one (1) year of work experience in premium food & beverage is preferred
  • Must be at least eighteen years of age to serve alcoholic drinks
  • Food Handler & TABC Certification required
