Georgia-Pacific Packaging & Cellulose Segment is seeking to add talent to our team! Supporting the Corrugated division, our Pricing Analysts work closely with our sales teams and are responsible for analyzing and processing quoting requests for new and existing customers seeking pricing for new items or repricing of existing items. Our Senior Analysts support larger deals and special projects where they manage the Request for Proposal (RFP) process from the beginning to the end including submitting quotes in the preferred customer format. These bids can span multiple months and multiple rounds. Senior Analysts are also responsible for developing Decision Making Framework (DMF) models for leadership reviews and approvals. We have multiple facilities across the country, and each of these roles supports opportunities within a specific region.

Location In this role, you will report to the Manager of Operational Pricing. We are located at GP HQ in downtown Atlanta, GA. We offer a schedule of remote work and 3 days in the office a week. What You Will Do
  • Manage and process all requests for quotes in a timely manner in the configure-price-quote system (
    • Identify data omissions and discrepancies, and obtain complete and correct information from National Account Managers or Sales Reps (utilizing CRM as necessary)
    • Leverage pricing bands and Revenue Management tools to develop quotes
    • Help the sales team frame up the opportunity by analyzing the bid and identifying what business we want to pursue, including which plants are the best fit
    • Create new item standard cost estimates and any required re-pricing of current items due to changes from original specifications / requirements or changes in manufacturing processes from those that were assumed on earlier quotes
    • Senior Analysts will develop and articulate business case/DMF for leadership review and approval
    • Coordinate as necessary on any complex bids and/or items (e.g., strategy, design, etc.) with Pricing Manager
  • Provide general analytical support for the Corrugated business and produce relevant reports. As you advance your knowledge and skills on the team - you will perform advanced commercial reviews, variance analysis, key performance observations, and make recommendations regarding areas for profitability improvement
  • Capture win/loss data on quotes provided by gathering information from sales representatives on each item and updating into the system, and ensure CRM data represents correct information on opportunity volume
  • Stay aware of category trends and have a sound awareness of manufacturing processes
  • Seek and share knowledge, identify opportunities for improvements, challenge the status quo, propose solutions
  • Advance the Principled Based Management® (PBM®) culture by applying and reinforcing the company's Guiding Principles


Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Ability to complete occasional travel to supported manufacturing sites, including overnight stays


What Will Put You Ahead
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Math, or related discipline
  • Previous experience in a roles(s) focused on Pricing, Analytics, or Finance functions that also required knowledge of financial statements and key drivers
  • MS Excel experience that includes the ability to read and understand modeling assumptions, working with complex formulas and pivot tables
  • Packaging / Consumer Products / Manufacturing Industry experience
