The University of Vermont Health Network - Elizabethtown Community Hospital health centers are a central source for preventative, primary care in Essex County. Practicing at our community-based health centers offers the opportunity to provide care for a diverse mix of patients and utilize the full extent of your education and training.
Physician opportunities are currently available at two health centers located between the Adirondack Mountains and Lake Champlain. With flexible hours and easy access to hiking, biking, paddling, fishing, skiing and more, you can take advantage of world class recreational opportunities and enjoy the region's laid-back lifestyle.
Our health centers offer a broad scope of practice, including diagnosis and management of routine health problems, health maintenance and screenings and urgent care for injuries and illnesses. Through our partnership with The University of Vermont Health Network, physicians share knowledge and resources to give patients access to leading-edge technology, advanced treatment options and the highest level of compassionate care. Opportunities are also available to work with medical students and residents.
Earn up to $260,000 annually, plus a $30,000 signing bonus and $120,000 loan repayment. Relocation assistance is available. Excellent benefits, including an insurance plan and 403(b) retirement program, are provided through The University of Vermont Health Network Medical Group.
Position Details:
Monday through Friday 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM
Flexible hours and 4 day work weeks available
Occasional weekend rounding required
Average patients seen: 14-24
Light call in ER, 1:5 Rotation. Mostly by phone with infrequent situations requiring in-person consultation
Requirements:
MD/DO

Board-Certification (within 1 year of hire), BLS, DEA, NY License, Child Abuse Course, Opioid Course, and Infectious Disease Course.
ACLS, ATLS only required if picking up optional call
