What you do:The Analytics Consultant Principal provides reporting and analytics support for departments and strategic partners throughout Allianz. This includes data and analysis needs for business decision making by developing solutions that use data exploration, visualization, automation, or statistical models, independently identifying trends, and developing and presenting recommendations to senior and executive leadership. You will also partner with teams to identify AI use cases, and partner with the Data Science team to deploy solutions using AI capabilities. You will exercise broad discretion and independence in recommending enhancements to business partners and using data and information in new and innovative ways. You will work with all levels of the organization and be experienced in developing stories from data. Accuracy, the ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adjusting priorities in response to business needs is critical. The individual will be proactive, curious, detail oriented, resilient, accountable, and have excellent written and verbal communication skills. You will provide guidance, mentoring, and support technical development to more junior consultants.

This specific role will be dedicated to supporting functions within our Finance Division, including Financial Consulting, Controllers, and Corporate Risk Management. A background in one of these areas, or experience supporting these departments from a data and analytics perspective, will be valuable. This role will partner with the team's manager to build a new support structure for the Finance division. You will report to the Data & Analytics Manager.

  • Responsible for data analysis supporting key corporate and business initiatives leading to data driven insights. Responsible for identifying trends, anomalies, and root causes of issues. Synthesize data and provide actionable recommendations to enable and influence strategic business decision making by senior and executive leaders. Partner closely with business resources acting as a translator of business unit needs and identify key performance indicators.
  • Develop and implement strategic solutions including opportunities to use analytics and statistical modeling in support of Allianz goals and business objectives. Implement quality assurance processes for all reporting metrics. Work in partnership with Technology to automate and improve processes that manage data for reporting and analysis.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver data, analytics and reporting solutions. Maintain and continue to improve data and reporting infrastructure (data quality, data consolidation, report automation). Collaborate and lead the orchestration of data sources, data requirements and implementation timelines.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders on maintaining and enhancing reporting, ad hoc analysis and development of analytics use cases. Produce scheduled metrics and reports utilizing a variety of data sources. Streamline and improve reporting processes and procedures on an ongoing basis to maximize efficiency and productivity.


What you bring:
  • 6+ years of experience required: Includes at least 4-5 years in data analytics including analyzing qualitative/quantitative data, formulating hypotheses, interpreting/communicating insights, coding, visual modeling, and management consulting.
  • Four year degree required: Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Math, Statistics, Data Science or Business.
