Principal, Brand Marketing Learning & Development is a senior-level learning and development role responsible for defining and delivering highly complex, cross-organizational learning curricula that drives understanding of brand building principles to support critical business goals. Your work will focus on large, diverse learner populations, solving complex, sometimes endemic problems. You will operate with a high degree of independence, often in ambiguous or new learning areas, owning the roadmap for broader curriculum suites or managing a portfolio. Your design, implementation, and delivery of cross-functional solutions will make you a trusted partner to stakeholders, with your contributions being recognized for their impact on learning strategy efficiency, quality, and the organization's competitive advantage. Throughout, you will apply deep domain expertise, strong data-driven business acumen, and strategic judgment to continuously improve team processes and learning outcomes.

The Brand Learning and Development role involves developing and facilitating comprehensive, ongoing training programs on brand strategy, brand strategy usage, and brand tools. This role will provide support to the brand marketing director in developing brand building fundamentals across the brand team and broader marketing organization. As the Brand Training and Development Lead, you will work closely with the Brand team to create tailored training modules for new marketing associates, as well as develop comprehensive training programs to help the organization adapt and align with any shifts in the broader brand or business strategy. Your expertise in brand education and your ability to champion the brand's role in driving business success will be instrumental in ensuring the entire organization understands and executes in service of the brand. Additionally, the role will facilitate training across various cross-functional, internal stakeholders, including operations teams, merchandising, store and fulfillment center-level associates, employer brand leads, and other relevant teams. The role requires partnering with cross-functional leaders to identify training needs and align on brand-related priorities. Additionally, the incumbent will advocate for the importance of brand training, training on brand tools (e.g., creative brief writing and creative feedback), and champion the brand's role in driving business success.

Key job responsibilities

• \tLead the design, implementation, and delivery of cross-functional solutions in an ambiguous and new learning area to deliver clarity and understanding of brand building best practices across broader Amazon Fresh organizations.

• \tEstablish and maintain brand training standards and resources to ensure brand governance and the consistent application of the brand across the organization including senior leaders, up to VP, aligning teams with effective training.

• \tEnhance the broader marketing organization's understanding of how to best leverage brand tools, including but not limited to brief writing and how to use the various parts of a brief, claims writing and understanding of the various types of claims, and giving clear and actionable creative feedback.

• \tCreate and manage a comprehensive and complex annual learning plan and training calendar while continuously evaluating the effectiveness of training programs and making updates to address evolving needs.

• \tGather feedback from training participants to incorporate learnings and enhance the programs over time while staying abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging brand training approaches.

A day in the life

• \tServe as a subject matter expert and point of contact for brand building skill application and related questions/support.

• \tFacilitate the adoption of brand strategy updates and changes through targeted training and regular, broad communication, and identify opportunities to leverage technology, such as e-learning platforms, to scale and optimize the training experience.

• \tSupport the organization in navigating brand-related transformations by equipping teams with the necessary knowledge and resources.

About the team

The Brand Team is responsible for the strategy, creative, and governance of the Amazon Fresh Brand across North America, worldwide geographies, and touchpoints within the larger Amazon ecosystem. Our key function is to create tools and mechanisms that align business and marketing objectives with customer experiences and creative outputs.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 9+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience

- Experience driving direction and alignment with cross-functional teams

- Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience working cross-functionally with partner teams to drive adoption and usage of brand assets and messaging

- Experience in strategic marketing management and market analysis and demonstrated ability to build and execute a strategy with clear goals and objectives to align to business and service objectives, and support portfolio objectives

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $127,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $211,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
