As a Principal Application Engineer DC/DC Power supply you will execute system solution roadmaps that help Infineon achieve the goal to be market leader in AI datacenter, Telecom solution provider (application notes, solution boards, applications block diagrams, system value prop, Tech notes, simulation models)

Job description:

In your new role you will:
  • Collect inputs from the market and customer feedbacks, use your system understanding to define the targets specification of the next generation DC/DC IBC converters. Support circuit design, component selection, simulation, and product evaluation.
  • Conduct competitive analysis and benchmarking.
  • Team up with test and quality engineers for test approval and qualification the DCDC IBC module.
  • Support the product (G2M) go-to-market activities, including application note, white paper, customer presentations, simulation model and training materials.
  • Define the firmware requirements of innovation features using digital controller and validate the features in system.
  • Customer interaction to support design-ins and ensure design-wins.
  • Customer interaction to solve technical issues that may arise in the design-in and/or production. Include managing the Failure Analysis of customer returned parts.


Your Profile:

You are best equipped for this task if you have:
  • BSEE or MSEE preferred with hands-on experience in high-frequency, high-current, high-density DC/DC designs including extensive lab skills for the test and debug of switch mode power supplies
  • 8+ years in engineering design and applications.
  • Extensive knowledge of high power density DCDC IBC module development and customer support
  • Good communication skills in both verbal and written English

  • Desired Skills:


    • Experience in using digital & analog controllers and drivers for power management
    • Experience with magnetics design
      and optimization
    • Experience with safety and EMI compliance
    • Experience with PCB design tools, Altium or Allegro
    • Experience with simulation tools

Wage Range that the Company expects to pay for a qualified candidate:

Minimum of $159,375 salary per year
Maximum of $206,250 salary per year

In addition, all employees will be eligible to participate in an incentive plan.
