A fast-growing, innovative company in the Milford, OH area is looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their team. This individual will be joining an exciting team that's revolutionizing the logistics industry through its development of hybrid electric powertrains. This engineer will support the technology development for generator technology. Responsibilities include:
- Own hardware components and subsystems including functionality, durability, manufacturability, serviceability, cost, weight, validation
- Generate designs by collaborating with design, electrical, and software teams
- Hold technical reviews to present findings
- Conduct tech reviews to present findings and propose solutions
- Build, test, and validate prototypes early and often to tease out flaws in design
- Support the design checking process by reviewing prints and ensuring tolerances, processes and material specifications are aligned with product design guidelines
- Identify and select suppliers to support needs
- Support the purchasing process to and assist in the procurement of hardware from key suppliers as needed

Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering
- 15+ years' experience engineering system, motors, or complex mechanical systems
- FEA toolset such as ANSYS
- Experience in lab testing environments including installing, calibrating, and reading various forms of instrumentation for pressure, temperature, flow, strain, acceleration, etc.
- Ability to design and troubleshoot system
