Principal Finance Manager, Prime Video

We are looking for an experienced Finance leader to join the US Prime Video Business Finance team to lead our Prime Subscription Lifecycle Management team, an exciting opportunity to develop analytical insights and work directly with business leaders to shape Prime Video's entertainment strategy.

Our team owns the reporting and analytics for customers who join Prime via Prime Video, deep diving to develop insights that help drive our strategy for acquiring and retaining customers. Our team works with business leaders across Prime Video and Prime orgs, including Programming, Product, Content Strategy, and Marketing. You will leverage data to provide key insights, enable new analyses, and innovate on behalf of our business customers.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter willing to build new strategic analyses and roll up their sleeves to dive deep into data to uncover insights. While they will lead a team and influence through their directs, for high impact analyses they will also gather data independently and communicate findings to stakeholders in a clear, efficient manner that highlights the most relevant points to the business' strategy.
Key job responsibilities
• Develop and enhance frameworks for analyzing acquisition, retention, and churn for Prime subscriptions via Prime Video
• Work directly with various stakeholders (including partners from other business and finance teams) to develop and support key assumptions
• Perform various ad hoc analyses to help business leaders solve business problems and understand the financial implications
• Lead short and long-term financial forecasting and planning for multiple projects at a time
• Work together with business intelligence teams and actively participate in efforts to explore available data, construct datasets, and analyze for trends to inform analyses
• Influence business decisions by effective verbal and written communication, data driven analysis and modeling, and presentation of alternatives

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 10+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- 7+ years of finance technology, forecast & budgeting, or other finance-focused competency experience
- Experience with Tableau, Python, SQB, Quicksight, Cognos or or other BI packages
- Experience in a leadership position managing finance, accounting and operational processes
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- MBA, or CPA
- 8+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $111,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $207,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
