Insight Global's client is looking for a Principle Mechanical Engineer to sit in their Knoxville, TN office. The team they would be joining serves Power Generation clients, so will be working on projects that can include hydropower plants, coal plants, nuclear plants, gas plants, etc. They will mainly be responsible for doing project walk-downs to assess equipment/projects and assist in the creation of scope, writing project proposals, stamping designs, budget, man-hours, cost, etc. Additionally, they will lead project equipment teams for the design and engineering of the new equipment for the plant. Most of the work is for modifications/retrofits to existing power plants but may include new builds from time to time.

Required Skills & Experience
B.S. in Mechanical Engineering
PE License and experience stamping mechanical designs and proposals
10+ years of experience doing Mechanical design/engineering for either power plants or heavy industrial sites.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Project Management experience
Experience doing design for hydropower plants or fossil fuel sites
