Insight Global is seeking a Principal Mechanical Engineer to join one of our medical device manufacturing clients in the Twin Cities. You will be working with clients doing product design for electro-mechanical medical devices. You will be leading teams for various projects and establishing schedules, budgets, and resource needs per project. In addition, you will be developing system level design strategies, development, testing and refinement of components and sub-systems of said devices. You'll be working within a team of 15 MEs and reporting into the Director of ME.

Required Skills & Experience
- Principal level mechanical engineering experience
- 10+ years of hands-on product development experience, specifically with handheld electro-mechanical consumer products
- Experience creating designs for new products
- Capability to lead other as a lead engineer
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills because this person will be working with customers
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Medical device experience
- Experience working on cross functional teams (electrical engineering teams, software engineering teams, testing teams, etc)
- Understanding of ISO 60601
- Familiarity with contract manufacturing
- SolidWorks experience
- FEA experience
