Amazon is looking for a Principal Program Manager with a strong delivery record and proven program management experience to own strategic, cross-functional and technology projects and programs across multiple verticals across North America. This role requires scoping and creating project plans, developing processes, coordinating and driving execution, and communicating to senior management on status, risks and process/product changes. Cross-team coordination, process management and executive presentation skills are essential. The ideal candidate will leverage extensive management experience, combined with deep analytical capabilities and a keen sense of innovation, to lead complex projects from conception to completion.

We are seeking a Principal Program Manager to effectively manage the creation and enhancement of our supply chain and transportation networks. In this role, you will scope large projects, track project timelines, and develop mechanisms for communicating status, risk, and business challenges. The ideal candidate must be adept at cross-team coordination, project management, and data analysis, with a proven history of delivering results.

In this pivotal role, you'll be the driving force behind ensuring seamless IB supply chain operations, resolving critical capacity gaps, and coordinating cross-functional stakeholders to tackle endemic problems head-on. Your strategic vision and operational expertise will be instrumental in leading the weekly execution process, facilitating strategy document coordination, and accelerating progress to close IB capacity gaps in real time. You will bring clarity and alignment to our IB Supply Chain and Under-the-Roof Operations. You'll collaborate with teams across Operations, Supply Chain, and forecasting teams, leveraging your deep understanding of operational intricacies and your exceptional problem-solving skills to identify and implement innovative solutions. You'll hit the ground running, tackling immediate challenges constraining our capacity, while simultaneously developing long-term strategies to future-proof our IB operations.

Key job responsibilities

* Create and oversee various cross-functional programs, ensuring successful delivery.

• Develop and refine program strategies, effectively leading and motivating teams.

• Set clear objectives for programs, leveraging data analytics to drive improvements and achieve metrics.

• Navigate and resolve ambiguities in business scenarios, applying creative problem-solving skills.

• Foster collaboration with internal and external partners to optimize resource allocation and project success.

• Evaluate and prioritize projects in conjunction with customer needs and technical team inputs.

• Bridge gaps in team dynamics, processes, and systems, preventing common project pitfalls.

• Identify and mitigate risks, preventing them from escalating into major issues.

• Regularly communicate with senior managers, business leaders, and other stakeholders to support key business initiatives.

• Develop, implement, and oversee KPI reporting for a program portfolio, ensuring clear visibility of milestones and project performance.

• Plan, manage and communicate project budgets effectively.

• Ability to travel 20-25%

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 7+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience

- 7+ years of program or project management experience

- 7+ years of managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership experience

- Bachelor's degree

- Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization

- Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience delivering projects within scope, time, budget and quality

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $124,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $206,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
