We are seeking a Principal Product Manager, AI/ML - Technical to join our team to create global experiences at intersection of large language multilingual models, Generative AI and push the boundaries of what a personal assistant, advisor and companion can do. We are looking for a passionate, experienced and entrepreneurial Principal Product Manager-Technical to lead key global initiatives for Amazon Alexa which is the world's best AI-powered digital personal assistant. This product leader should have a successful track record of leading large scale cross org product initiatives from concept to successful launch leading to significant growth of product and business. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with excellent product management skills, a strategic thinker, and a strong communicator with excellent cross-org collaboration skills. Experience in the following domains is preferred: e-commerce, online advertising, search, AI powered personal assistants, and related areas.

As Principal Product Manager-Technical, you will drive product strategy, product definition, design, launch, and go-to-market for mission critical initiatives for Alexa International. You will have the responsibility of inventing on behalf of our customers and advocating for their needs throughout design, build, and launch. This position has a high level of visibility, so you will need to be able to communicate clearly and compellingly at all levels of the company. Additionally, you will be responsible for measuring business impact by diving deep into metrics and customer inputs. This position also needs you to work closely with engineering and science teams in bringing your vision to reality. Your work will impact hundreds of millions of customers world-wide and drive significant growth for Alexa.

Key job responsibilities

Drive the development of product strategy for Alexa International.

Create buy-in for the plan across the Alexa organization and partner teams in Amazon.

Create product roadmaps for the key areas you are leading.

Establish metrics and key performance indicators for success.

Develop detailed business requirements, user stories, and product specifications.

Partner with engineering and partner teams to drive product launch and business growth.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor's degree

- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

- 7+ years of technical product or program management experience

- Experience working with and influencing senior level stakeholders

- Experience as a strong leader who can prioritize well, communicate clearly and effectively influence across cross-functional teams

- Experience owning feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience working directly with Engineers on product enhancements

- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, analytics, mathematics, statistics, IT or equivalent

- Experience developing mobile / internet products and technologies

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $161,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $279,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
