Piper Health Sciences is seeking a Principal Scientist to join a contract research organization focusing on clinical trials at all stages located in Frederick, MD . The Principal Scientist will design and develop innovative immunophenotyping and other custom cell-based assays.

Responsibilities of the Senior Principal Scientist include:

• Provide training and leadership to members of the Flow Cytometry team by conducting one-on-one meetings, performance reviews, and goal-setting
• Design cell-based assays to meet client requirements
• Create and carry out SOPs for the operation of standard laboratory equipment
• Perform cell assays such as ELISpot, flow immunophenotyping, and other custom cell-based assays
• Generate reports, white papers, and posters for submission

Qualifications for the Senior Principal Scientist include:

• 7+ years of full-time post-doctoral lab experience
• Strong Bench experience performing cell-based assays
• Experience with validation and qualification of assays
• Ph.D. in life sciences or another related field (Immunology or Cellular Biology)

Compensation for the Senior Principal Scientist include:

• Salary Range: $134,000 - $160,000 depending on experience
