In this role, you will be responsible for driving and coordinating the work of a fast-moving organization, building a revolutionary new product. You will implement mechanisms to ensure multiple teams of software engineers, scientists and solution architects can build quickly while staying connected to a singular vision and mission. You will have the opportunity to define and execute a unified roadmap across these teams, and your work will have visibility at the highest levels of the company.

1) Define, own, drive and launch technical programs that span multiple engineering teams and organizational boundaries

2) Define long-term strategy by proactively identifying emerging customer needs and looking around corners for business impact opportunities

3) Drive large scale projects spanning teams across AWS Solutions

4) Clearly communicate vision, plans and project status to management and key technical and business stakeholders

5) Work closely with the software development team on delivering high-quality solutions, and provide guidance regarding architecture, design, and priorities

6) Identify, assess and mitigate risks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make tradeoffs balancing the business needs versus constraints

7) Create, maintain and disseminate project information to stakeholders

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 7+ years of technical product or program management experience

- 10+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience

- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

- 5+ years of software development experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 8+ years of hands-on work managing complex technology projects experience

- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $159,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $275,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
