Principal UX Designer, Delivery Experience
Bellevue, Washington
We are seeking a Principal UX Designer to work with leaders, setting the strategic design vision and driving innovation for the Delivery Experience (DEX) organization. DEX's vision is to make Amazon every customer's most-loved shopping destination by building and enabling intuitive delivery experiences that improve customers' lives; making it easy to control when, where, and how they receive Earth's largest selection.
As Principal UX Designer, you will establish overarching design strategy, execute fundamental design research, and lead design innovation activities. You also possess a bold and creative outlook using data, trends, and intuition to evolve design practices and uncover new product opportunities to delight customers. Alongside your UX prowess, we seek a leader who inspires cross-functional partners to build bar-raising experiences through effective communication and relationship-building. In addition to your core design responsibilities, you will be a cornerstone of design leadership within a larger Amazon Delivery Experience design team.
Key job responsibilities
- Analyze customer problems and design delightful solutions with measurable impact.
- Work closely with product and business teams to develop use cases and high-level requirements.
- Quickly, yet thoroughly, create process flows, wireframes, and visual design mockups as needed to effectively conceptualize and communicate detailed interaction behaviors.
- Develop and maintain detailed design specifications, while meeting accessibility standards.
- Present and defend design recommendations to partners, stakeholders, and senior leadership for review, feedback, and approval.
- Partner with technology teams to ensure we leverage the scale offered by our platform without compromising on core experience principles.
- Measure the success and effectiveness of UX innovations.
- Creating and maintaining reusable Figma components.
- CX innovation with emerging and evolving technologies such as LLM.
