Principle Level Transmission Line Design Engineer

Independently conduct highly complex engineering research studies and technical analyses in areas of specialized expertise not commonly available or obtainable in the competitive engineering market.
Develop detailed design specifications and prepare bid packages for external engineering services and similar contracts to support the needs of the business.
Review, investigate and evaluate system and equipment performance, tests and analyses performed by senior Engineering staff.
Participate in government industry & other associations that have the ability to influence or set policy impacting the future of our utility.
This team is designing the lines that distribute the lines from 46KW-500KW.
This job requires five days onsite to begin then can move to 3 days per week must be onsite in Oregon or Utah

Required Skills & Experience

8+ Years Experience as a Transmission Line Engineer
Previous Experience with Lattice Tower Design
PE License strongly preferred but not required (ideally open to getting PE in Oregon, Idaho, Wyoming, Utah, California or Washington)
PLS CAD exp
Ability to lead and mentor other lower-level engineers

Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Candidates from POWER engineers is a plus
- Master's in engineering or related field
- Ability to lead and mentor the rest of the engineering team
