Job Duties

The Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) is seeking a Printing Technician in the Printing Services Department. In this position, you will be responsible for completing print shop orders by printing, cutting, folding, binding, laminating, wrapping, padding, and delivering orders. You will also assist with operating computerized equipment, PCs, and databases to produce printed items and products for customers.
Printing Services is an essential part of DMV and other state agencies. We provide high quality printing and finishing services including conventional printing, digital printing, copied and finished documents that include forms, mailers, brochures, mainframe print, and revalidation decals for DMV's internal and external customers.

Minimum Qualifications

• Experience providing customer service
• Working knowledge of basic computer skills for data entry
• Experience with printing jobs from Adobe files and understanding the variable printing process
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks and ensuring consistent quality of products
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50lbs

Additional Considerations

• Previous experience in digital printing, and/or certification from accredited graphics courses
• Working knowledge of routine maintenance of digital printers and bindery equipment
