operate the Siemens Skyra 3T scanner for large and small animal MRI procedures, coordinate with anesthesia, faculty and radiology house officers on patient schedules and patient in-take, position animals during procedures, generate images to provide to the hospital clinician team

Minimum Qualifications

Position Summary

The PRNMRI Technician will work as needed in the Radiology unit to perform scans on large and small animal patients. The primary duties and responsibilities for this position will be to operate a Siemens Skyra 3T scanner, receive and position patients to be scanned, and generate images to present to the hospital clinician team.

Relevant/Preferred Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification in Position

Certificate, Diploma or associate degree in MRI Technology.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies

Hands on experience in using a Siemens MRI scanner, verifiable experience as an MRI technician within a hospital setting, understanding of animal anatomy.

bend, stoop, squat, reach and work with arms overhead, push and pull large animals, pick up and position small animals.
